The top-seeded Trinity men's squash team beat St. Lawrence 8-1 in a national championship quarterfinal Friday at Yale. The Bantams will play No. 4 Yale at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. ... Trinity freshman Kanzy El Defrawy of Cairo, Egypt, has been named 2013 NESCAC women's squash player of the year.
George 'Doc' Whitney Dies
George "Doc" Whitney, the retired veterinarian from Orange who was a colorful familiar face at local road races with his homemade shirts and mismatched socks and who began running when he was 80, died Thursday in Brattleboro, Vt., at age 94.
