Litchfield Saltwater Grille welcomes Half Full Brewery for a beer social and dinner March 6 at 6:30 p.m. The event features raw bar selections, pub-style appetizers, entree and dessert paired with tastings of the Stamford brewery's beers.
The menu includes Blue Point oysters and RI littlenecks on the half shell, peel-and-eat shrimp, seafood salad and smoked fish to start; bratwurst in puff pastry and homemade sea-salt pretzels with cheddar ale sauce and an entree choice of IPA-battered fish and chips or braised beef with mushrooms, sage cream sauce and grilled polenta. Dessert is a chocolate bread pudding with Bailey's cream sauce.
Half Full beer tastings include Bright Ale, IPA, Chocolate Brown Ale and a special limited small-batch specialty beer. Brewery owner Conor Horrigan (a Litchfield native) will speak at the event.
